"I've been using the NB/HMB for over a month now. After trying many devices and combinations of devices, I have found the answer for me; the NB/HMB mouthpiece.
Like so many others, I have tried many things to stop snoring and snorting. It wasn't until I got married nearly 5 years ago that I learned that I had sleep apnea. My wife tells me that she would observe me stop breathing--watch my chest slowly cave in until my body would literally snort itself back awake and into a breathing rhythm. This not only kept my wife up, but it caused me to be drowsy during the day. I had a sleep study done which confirmed that I did have a case of "mild apnea." The doctor did not prescribe a C-pap machine so surgery was our last option. We met with the surgeon and were on the verge of taking the leap when I found Dr. Sue's site. I thank God in heaven that I did!
I have tried the nose strips, septum clamps, nasal sprays, throat sprays, chin straps, aroma therapy, oral medication, special pillows, a mandible mouthpiece (which helped but threw my jaw out of alignment) and lastly; tape. That's right, I've actually taped my mouth shut.
I've done extensive research online and in personal interviews to try and find a solution for my wife and me. I stumbled across Dr. Sue's site several months ago and his product has literally been an answer to prayer.
I know that some will be leery of spending the money for a mouthpiece. Odd, but we will spend thousands of dollars a year on non-essentials such as junk food, entertainment and hobbies but won't invest in our health.
If you have been looking for an answer and your symptoms fit mine; snoring and snorting--I feel confident that Dr. Sue has an answer for you. The device was worth every penny."

"The results are astounding, sleeping deeply with no snoring for seven hours straight. Amazing, thanks so much for this great invention. Can you make two more for me, one as an emergency spare and one for my vacation home? Thanks for giving me my sleep and health back. I feel great this morning! And that is after 15 hard runs skiing yesterday at Mt. Hood Meadows with my daughter. That used to fatigue me for days because I couldn't sleep deeply and recover. Not any longer. We're going again tomorrow. [Pretty good for 56] So far this week using your device I have lifted weights Tuesday, walked three miles Wednesday, lifted weights Thursday, skied Friday. Sleep great every single night, recovered and ready to go again. You have got to get this out to a mass market basis. Dentists in every city need to be franchised to put this appliance on people. My son used your product, and recommended it to his girlfriend's father who hated his air pressure machine, and he got one of your mouthpieces and now sleeps very well indeed. Again, thanks so much!"

"I made a discovery last night about this "tongue suction" principle. I work at night in a casino and last night was my first night back at work since reading your web site a couple of weeks ago. I had been on vacation. Standing there working, and trying to apply my new knowledge about tongue suction and nose breathing, I found out just how much of a mouth breather I am. The new way of breathing was very uncomfortable for a while in the working environment. Then about half way through the night, I discovered the meaning of the terms "lip seal" and "tongue placement". As long as my tongue is touching the roof of my mouth, I can't breathe through my mouth. If I hold my nose and open my mouth as wide as I can while still keeping the tongue touching, I can't breathe. This was a profound discovery, because it made the whole principle much easier to apply. I think I will be able to retrain myself pretty quickly to breathe in this new way. Even so, I am thinking I probably should have ordered the two mouthpiece combo you offered. I have videotaped myself sleeping for two nights using the NB/HMB and the results are stunning. I sound like a little baby sleeping; compared to the scary loud sleeper I was before. My girlfriend will be shocked when she comes back from overseas. She has been gone for more than a month and I have not told her about this."

"I have never had such a good night's sleep before wearing my new Nose Breathe for Heavy Mouth Breather. (NB/HMB). It fits perfectly and is very comfortable. I have tried everything, including sleep studies, surgery, CPAP, and this is the only thing that works, that I will tolerate all night. I knew my problem was breathing out of my mouth because I would wake up with a dry mouth and sore throat. I tried the "one size fits all" that I bought on the Internet and it worked but wasn't comfortable. I began wearing the NB/HMB on Friday night and slept all night from the first night. I wake up rested, no dry mouth. I do not fall asleep during the day anymore. In fact for me to nap during the day, it would take a serious illness. As an added benefit, my ENT was pleased that we finally found something that solved my earaches. He had tried everything including surgery, as it would begin for no reason. It cleared up after wearing my NB/HMB. After wearing your mouthpieces for two years, please send me another impression kit. I would like three NB/HMB; just to be sure I am not without one in the future. [I ordered three just in case I lost one in my travels]. My teeth are in excellent shape, so I feel it would be safe to stock up on them. I will be glad to brag about my results and tell anyone what I have been through and what the NB/HMB has done for me. A good night's sleep is priceless!"

"The new device (Nose Breathe Mouthpiece for
Heavy Mouth Breather) is fantastic!
... My son is also grateful. We travel a lot together and he doesn't dread
sleeping in the same room with me. I still use my original Nose Breathe regularly when I train. I find using the [Nose Breathe] makes it so much easier for me to stay in the zone. The
mouthpieces give real meaning to lip seal."

"For the past 27 years, I have slept with three pillows stacked up and head
propped up in a 45 degree angle. I could not keep my mouth closed and it
would get so dry that I would wake up 5 or 6 times a night to get a drink
of water. Later, I would need to use the bathroom. Needless to say, I was
always tired. I would experiment with various devices and even went so far
as tying things around my head and jaw to keep my mouth from opening. I was
referred to Dr. Sue by the hospital sleep disorder lab since I did not have
a snoring problem. They said Dr. Sue had a "tongue suction device" and it
could help keep my mouth closed. I am very pleased and you could not take
this device away from me without a fight."

"Snoring is reduced by over 90%. The twins are not closing their bedroom
door. They are not complaining about their fathers snoring. ... My husband
could not believe how comfortable the appliance is. No problem wearing it.
Because he travels a lot, he was embarrased to sleep on the airplane. The
Nose Breathe for Heavy Mouth Breather gave him the confidence to nap on
aircrafts. It does not look funny. It does not make his jaw stick out."

"...So far I [as well as the other players] have been very pleased with
your mouthpiece. Some of them actually tell me it's like a warm up for
their lungs; they have to concentrate and breathe deeply. It is a lot like
stretching in that if you don't do it, you don't feel as "ready to play."
...I was a little surprised when the guys were practicing with it in. I was
under the impression that it was too much of a hindrance, but... it came
quite easily. ... The use of the Nose Breathe has helped us
daily..."

"I travelled to Rovaniemi Finland on the Arctic Circle. I had hoped to see
the Aurora Borealis. Instead of seeing that phenomenon, I wound up
experiencing the coldest day in the history of Northern Europe. It was
minus 67 degrees Fahrenheit (no wind chill factor built in). ...I began to
come down with a very bad cold on the Arctic Circle and took the first
train south. It was a night train and my sleeping compartment was
over-heated...I couldn't crack open a window to alleviate it. It was so bad
that I couldn't breathe. In fact, it was the worst congestion I've ever
experienced in my life. Fortunately, I had my Nose Breathe.
Within minutes I could breathe through my nose! I couldn't believe it. It
wasn't just that I had a cold, but I was in extreme weather conditions and
my body was weakened by time zones and overwork. I was as sick as I had
ever been with a cold... and I don't usually come down with colds. And I
was miserable. Nose Breathe got me through the night and the next 23 hours
of flights from Helsinki to Amsterdam to Atlanta to San Francisco to
Honolulu."

"Thank you very much. It's like (my husband's) not there. It's weird.
Now I don't have anything to grumble about. It's funny because I still
catch him going to the next room to sleep. He's not as tired. Could my
husband have sleep apnea if he does not snore anymore? Does he still need
the CPAP? I am very interested to hear what his medical doctor has to say
at his next appointment."

"In Brazil, I learned from my conditioning trainer, good air comes
through the nose. The more one can nose breathe the better. It is important
for world class athletes to keep the heart rate low. It is not unusual for
them to have heart rates of 30-40 beats per minute. The lower the heart
rate, the less one has to breathe (and) the more energy one conserves. Nose
breathing is the most efficient form of breathing and permits one to
perform at a high level."
